My beloved grandpa has recently had some health issues and a car accident, so I knit these dishcloths for him and my Grandma just to let them know I'm thinking of them. This is the "illusion hearts dishcloth" from www.carissaknits.com. They turned out pretty good and the patterns is mostly garter stitch so it's very easy and quick.Plus I finally found a use for the hot pink Sugar 'n' cream in my stash. In the card included when I sent them, I wrote, "every time you see the heart out of the corner of your eye, remember how much I love you." Awwwwwww. You can hardly see the heart pattern if you look at them straight on, but when you lay them down, the heart pops out perfectly. Very trippy, according to Mark.

This is the rug. I have been hooking this rug from fabric scraps and I think it may take until the apocalypse is upon us to finish it. It has a little bit of leopard print, a little bit of raggedy dishcloth, a little bit of pinstriped denim overalls, etc....

first of all....

Yeah! I'm finally starting this. I'm gonna do a bunch of posts as one because I've been working on them and not this blog! My 21 month old son (hereby known as The Boog) has been teething and being generally fussy, so that has but a big dent in my free time as well. But now, as the Boog blissfully slumbers and my husband doesn't need the computer (for once). Here we go..........

So, here are my socks. They are made from the new Lion brand Sock Ease in the rock-candy colorway. I wish I would have made the cuff longer, but otherwise they are the perfect sock. the gusset came out beautifully once I figured out how to pick up two stitches from the sides of the heel gap. They are very warm, but not so much that my feet get to haot at night in the summer. Please forgive the photos, I'm still working on getting better definition in the pics
